Background

Bryan Lee is a well-studied and well-rounded actor, singer, and martial artist with a diverse and

extensive resume. An accomplished local Chinese American performing artist from Boston. Most

notably, he received great praise for his creative albeit unintentional use of his “Steven Tyler

impression” as his debut role as Judge Yertle the Turtle at his Reading Memorial High School drama

club production of Seussical the Musical. Bryan’s distinct talents were cultivated over a lifetime of

wide-ranging experiences in a variety of locales and teacher-appointed educational odysseys across

the East Coast.

As an Actor

Born in Winchester Massachusetts, Bryan had a challenging life growing up in Reading under highly traditional Chinese Malaysian immigrant parents.  Showing an early talent in a variety of

arts, he went on to study at a series of prestigious East Coast schools: Quebec Centre d 'Arts, where he received classical vocal training, and the The New York Film Academy at Harvard University.  More recently in August 2023 he had the privilege to receive industry training from Gentry White (Chronicles of Shannara), Brett Zimmermin (Call of Duty World War 2) and a surprise visit from Margot Robbie (Barbie from the Barbie Movie) at a talent showcase in Walt Disney World Resort B in Orlando Florida. He also was well-versed in the classical (Shakespeare), film and Broadway techniques.

As a Singer

Bryan’s musical interest always went beyond that of classical and Broadway, so much so that he applied his knowledge of vocals to contemporary styles such as Rock and Metal. With his tenor-baritone range able to go into falsetto and death growls, his overall singing voice can be characterized as “mournful or melancholy sounding”. Bryan draws his stylistic inspiration from bands like Type O Negative, Aerosmith, Judas Priest, Nightwish, Atreyu, Arch Enemy, Sabaton, Within Temptation and Bella Morte to name a few.

As a Martial Artist

Bryan trained which some of the world-finest Kung Fu masters in Boston, including the mother of Donnie Yen (Churrit Imwe from Star Wars Rogue One), Grandmaster Bow Sim Mark at The Wushu Research Institute. Combining some of the most practical and formidable martial arts techniques from around the world to his Kung Fu for explosive theatrical performance effect while honing his skills as a master.

As a Model

Bryan has long had an interest in alternative fashion, being no stranger to small-time alternative modeling work with products from the fashion label, Fanplusfriend, a Japanese street fashion brand specializing in the Gothic Lolita and Elegant Gothic Aristocrat genres. Bryan has also been spotted at Boston Common-located events cosplaying and taking doing photoshoots as various characters from Japanese anime, video games, Disney, and more.
